Now onto something that puzzles and confuses me…
I believe that all of us have the freedom of expressing ourselves, yet there have been so many instances when I’ve seen this freedom being ruthlessly suppressed. And No, I do not mean by bureaucracy and such things, but by societal pressures and just the mere need to seem polite and NOT hurt feelings.
So here’s my question-HOW on earth are you supposed to be honest and let a person know that something is wrong without ruffling a few feathers?
Constantly plagued by this dilemma, I often find myself choosing the easy way out (actually a rather difficult way for me), by biting my tongue and just be diplomatic. It simply infuriates me that i cannot simply let go and give people a piece of my mind if I’m genuinely not impressed by them. Gawd!!! I never knew I had such patience until I actually started playing this li’l game of diplomacy.
Imagine how hard it must be to hide your dislike for a certain person/thing. However, we almost always have to be sensitive and watch our tongues before we can actually lash out at someone.
Ok so now that I’ve let out some steam, I think I’d better end this blog right here, with a promise of some better and more sensible stuff in my next post, WHICH will hopefully appear soon enough.
Until then…Keep smiling and yeah wondering at d oddities of life…
